Responsibility to represents IT as first (and single) point of contact towards the business area(s) for the purpose of business technology strategy development, budget planning and management, portfolio management, business architecture, demand management, innovation management and relationship management to maximize the business value of IT investment, ensuring strategic alignment between the Commercial priorities and NBS Commercial IT. 

Understands and anticipates strategic and/or operational customer needs and translate them into effective and/or improved processes and/or technical solutions by coordinating internal Novartis as well as external resources / service providers. 

As a Business Partner I play a critical role in translating business requirements to solid, value driven solutions, leveraging existing enterprise technology assets, but also supporting innovation opportunities where new solution options are required to meet prioritized business demand.

Understand the details of the technology solutions being deployed aligned with business strategy, works closely with NBS IT across commercial and compliance processes areas.

Build strong business relationship with stakeholder groups through participation in regularly scheduled business management meetings.
Initiate and act as initial contact point for Business needs; evaluate feasibility of potential projects in coordination with "Digital and Commercial Solutions" team.

Serve as escalation point for the business initiatives, partner with the business to add value when preparing business cases and provide consulting in expertise. Leading solution visioning sessions, including requirement gathering and rationalization.
